Parallel Distribution Network of quality films for children and young people

The Parallel Distribution Network of quality films for children and young people was created with two main purposes: to promote Greek films for children and young people and to acquire the rights to foreign quality films that have not been acquired by private Greek distributors. 

Through its collaborators, the Network comes into contact with schools facilitate the creative incorporation of cinema into the educational process.

The organized screenings of selected Greek and foreign-produced films are not only for children and young people throughout the country, but also for Greeks living abroad.

Apart from entertainment value, the films also have an educational character. The basic criteria is to offer educators material for work in class after the film's screening.

The films mostly come from YOUTH PLAN'S archives -the only archives containing children's films in Greece -and meet with the approval of the Ministry of Education. Being familiar with the situation in Greece in the field of education and drawing on international experience, we want school children to watch films in order to obtain a SOLID and PERMANENT contact with the art of cinema, a theoretical examination of the films suggested through books and publications, as well as creative expression that reflects a new perspective.

YOUTH PLAN'S films will be offered to schools, associations, municipalities, etc., for organized screenings.
