Camera Zizanio - Past Editions

The 1^st European Meeting of Audiovisual Creation-Camera Zizanio was held from November 25 to December 8, 2001, within the framework of the 4^th Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Young People in Pyrgos. The screenings took place at the cinema CINEPLEX ORFEFS

Only European films, from Greece, Spain, France, Norway, Belgium, Hungary, Bulgaria, Italy and the Netherlands, took part in the competition section. Screened within the framework of the information section were films based on children's ideas, from Egypt, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Israel, Italy, China, Hungary and Slovenia, made with the assistance of the International Communication Centre for Children and the Ciak Junior Festival, Treviso, Italy. There were also films made by young people who are at risk, from Artic Canada (children of the Inouit tribe), Mozambique (children who had been soldiers), Peru (working children), Poland (children of alcoholic parents) and the Philippines(young girls from a mountain tribe). Those films are the result of the project Teen Video Stories, with the assistance of the International Film Centre for Children and Young People -CIFEJ- and the production company, Ole Gjerstad, which focuses on children.

Second prize:	"From Cradle to Grave", Norway. Lillehammer's Audiovisual Workshop, Norway.
Third prize:	"Double Direction", Spain. From the program DETRAS DE LA CAMERA (Behind the Camera)
Special Awards:	"E-Two," Greece. The film was made within the context of the Hill School's Circle of Moving Image, during the academic year 2001-2002. "The Strange Puppet," Greece. Films from the workshop of Spyros Siakas

13 TO 16 CATEGORY

First prize:
"Reversible Route," Greece, 1st High School of Palaio Faliro

Second prize:
"Without Coverage," Spain. A film from the IES Julio Antonio

Third prize:
"A Bad Dream," Spain. A film by the program DETRAS DE LA CAMERA (BEHIND THE CAMERA)

Special Awards:
"Pedestrian Crossing," France. A film made within the framework of the workshop "(In) certains regards" of "Du grain a remoudre"

"Toys," Bulgaria. Directed by Tsetomir Petkov Petkov

17 TO 20 CATEGORY

First prize:
"Train to Hell," Belgium. Workshop SISA

Second prize:
"Screen," Greece. Directed by Odysseas Diakakis

Third prize:
"The End of the Road," Norway. The film was made during school time and was a candidate in the open category of the Amandus Festival, 2001.

Special Awards:
"MRTN," Holland. Directed by Maarten Apeldoorn
