4th Olympia Film Festival

The 4th Olympia International Film Festival for Children & Young People was held in Pyrgos, Ancient Olympia, and Amaliada, from December 1 to 8, 2001, while parallel events took place in many other cities in the Ilia province. Within the framework of the 4th Festival there was a Charlie Chaplin retrospective, a poster exhibition entitled «Children in the Greek Cinema», and an art exhibition entitled «Games of our Childhood». In addition, ten contemporary writers of books for children and young people presented their work. The Festival honoured Giannis Kalatzopoulos and Mirka Kalatzopoulou for their contribution to the cinema as children, and to the children’s theatre as adults. Sponsored by ERT S.A.
